Bar Manager required

Buckden Village Club (BVC), is actively seeking an exciting candidate for the position of Bar Manager at our friendly and inclusive membership club in the heart of our community.

It is primarily a sports and social club, open approximately 60 hours a week, supporting a number of adult and junior sporting teams with large screens showing sporting fixtures daily. It also is available to hire for social events.

There is a membership scheme which has circa 400 members, giving a discounted price on products available. Non-members are welcomed and there are no requirements to be a member to use the club. The premises is owned by Buckden Village Hall Trust which is a charity, however the Club is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation and therefore any profits are reinvested back into the Club to enhance the Club’s facilities.

The Bar Manager position will be offered to work to 25 hours a week, undertaking the day-to-day running of the Club, including supervision and management of staff and providing service to members and guests on behalf of the BVC committee.

The successful candidate would need to be able to demonstrate appropriate skills, knowledge and experience for the role. They will have to provide regular updates to the committee on performance.
